Practical information for events in Retford

  • Retford Bus Station is fully accessible with seating, digital displays, eight departure bays, a coffee shop, and toilets, including an accessible toilet and a baby changing room. Find more information about Retford bus services.

  • Retford station, on the East Coast Main Line, has four accessible platforms. Trains arrive from London King’s Cross (in as little as 80 minutes), Newark, Doncaster, Lincoln, and Sheffield. Facilities include a booking office, coffee shop, and toilets. Learn more about Retford National Rail services.

  • Local taxi firms are available. Use your chosen search engine to find a Retford Taxi firm.
  • Bassetlaw District Council offer seven car parks in Retford, ranging from short stay to long stay with prices starting from as little as 50p for 1 hour. Many of the car parks have disabled parking available and some have electric charging points. Payment can be made with cash, card or via the RingGo app.
  • Other car parks are available, and details can be found on Parkopedia.

Retford Town Centre can be accessed easily from the A1 by leaving at the junction signposted Retford (A620) from Newark to the South, or Doncaster to the North. Via the A638 (Great North Road) from Doncaster and via the A57 from Lincoln to the East.

  • Public Toilets are located on Chancery Lane and Chapelgate Car Park. Chapelgate Car Park has a Changing Places facility and is located next to Shopmobility. Find our more information on public toilets in Retford.
